About this course
This course covers the three stages of the Pest Risk Analysis (PRA) process. Stage 1 (Initiation) focuses on identifying pathways, determining pest status, and gathering information for the PRA. Stage 2 (Pest Risk Assessment) involves categorising pests, assessing the probability of their introduction and spread, and evaluating potential economic consequences. It also covers handling uncertainty and presenting risk assessment results. Stage 3 (Pest Risk Management and Review) explores risk management options, monitoring, and revising PRAs, including guidance for market access. The course concludes with a detailed case study, providing hands-on experience through all three PRA stages.
